Installation Files In Temp Folder

Hello
When I installed my Epson software, it placed the files in my temp folder. Since I have been using a computer about 15 years ago, I have never seen this.
Temp I would think would be for temp files not permanent ones.
Was this unusual or is the way Epson places its installation files?

Your link was interesting; I feel most users would prefer to keep the temp folder for temp files but I am not going to resist change. If it does not work out, time will change it, and the converse is true also.
