IP3600 printing strangely

We have an old ip3600 , not used for 10 years but have just replaced the inks to bring back into use. A4 sheet of txt prints fine but when used for printing a photo it takes a 1/4 page slot of the photo and repeats this across the page. I have downloaded the Win 10 drivers today to no avail. I did print the same photo on my B&W laser and its ok. I don't want to bin the printer as its ok apart from this. Any help would be much appreciated.
