HI, Everyone. Thanks for this forum.
I love love love the old, original series of HP Laserjet models. I used to own several 4s and 5s. They ran forever and never jammed. Just amazing overbuilt bulletproof pieces of machinery.
I was recently able to buy an older HP LJ 4 that will not power up. Where should I start in repairing this thing? Is it possible that it is simply the power switch that is broken?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems the first step would be to remove the outer shell and see if I can manually flick the power switch on. Would you concur?
Thanks Very Much,
Fred
