Lexmark MX-321 Toner refill

I just refilled an empty MX-321 toner and when I installed it, it said ") Pages Remaining" Now I think there is a chip to reset and I think I found out how to but how does this printer reset the count is it through a chip or through the maint reset counter in the printer.
