Hello from Victoria, Canada
Our office just upgraded to El Capitan about three weeks ago. We have three Lexmark T42 printers in our office connected to iMacs via USB.
We have used the printers without any problems in the past, but since the upgrade to El Capitan the printers start most (but not all) printouts by printing a page with garbage. There is no pattern -- sometimes the same page will print OK, then when I print again I get the error.
The error message I get is:
ERID - “eric” HOSTID = “erics-computer.local”
@PJL SET USERNAME - “eric”
@PJL SET
I have tried removing and reconfiguring the printer via system preferences without improvement (I did thismany times using generic ps driver and other options).
I also contacted Lexmark support and downloaded the latest driver and upgraded the firmware but they didn’t know and what they did not help.
Anyone who has any ideas as how to fix this? Its very frustrating to throw out so many pages.
Thank you for your time.
