I just did a reinstall of Win 8.1 and all is fine there except when I try to print it comes back saying that My printer is in error mode...
I have set up to have the Printer connected to my desktop HP Envy h8-1534 and have selected it as my Default printer.
Problem is that the printer doesn't print.
In Settings:
(Wireless Lan) is Disabled
Link Status: Inactive
MAC Address: is listed (don't know if that's supposed to be there or not)
(Wired Lan) Enabled
Link Status: Inactive
MAC Address: is listed (don't know if that's supposed to be there or not)
Windows says is connected but it won't print a test page...
I can print internal settings but CAN'T TALK/PRINT ANYTHING ON LINE....
I've had no problems with the Canon for six years UNTIL I REINSTALLED WIN 8.1...
Gad, didn't know I'd have such a problem...
Other problem is that I don't have the software that came with the Printer and Canon DOESN'T SUPPORT IT ANY LONGER....
Microsoft did a reinstall 2 years ago and never had that problem.
Me Thinks it's a relatively easy fix, but as yet can't figure it out and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
