MFC-6490CW Print Head & ALR Code

I have a print head for the Brother MFC-6490CW printer but it does not have an ALR code affixed that would allow me to configure the printer for the print head calibration. Does anyone have knowledge of the format for the ALR code that might help in arriving at a rough, or even a reasonable configuration?
