I have an MFC-J6920DW printer that has started complaining about the yellow ink cartridge. Almost every time I print, I says that the cartridge is not properly seated; I should remove it and reinsert it "firmly" to correct the problem.
I've discovered that following the instructions does no good at all. I just get the same message again. If I remove the cartridge and reinsert it with just barely enough force to make it click into place, the printer will work for two pages -- then it will display the same message again.
It's not the cartridge. I replaced the cartridge and got the same behavior with the new one as I did with the old one.
Is there anything I can do to fix this, short of taking the printer in for repair?
