Multi-printing pages

I have the Lexmark monochrome laser printer which has the capability to do multiprinting. The Help area is very limited on how this is performed. I wanted to print 4 smaller pages on 1 8 x 10. I go to page setup and choose my Lexmark printer as my choice. I have also shown there my PHD printer and a Fax printer, assuming that Lexmark is the one that would do the actual printing, particularly, entering it in my Properties. In stead, my PHD printer takes over, and because its a limited program, he asks me to buy it, the evaluation period has expired. I had no idea i even had an evaluation period when i downloaded it. I am confused, on why PHD printer takes over my Lexmark printer choice. Does anyone know how I can get this done? The actual setup with files? Thanks
