New ink PS R320 goes motions - no print

My Epson Photostylus R320 has been on the shelf for years. I need to direct print some DVD surfaces. I picked up my a full complement of Epson ink at Staples and worked through CD printing drivers. It reports the ink cartridges are full, goes through all the motions but no ink flows. The head clean and align routines run but no ink. I'd like like to remove the cartridges and verify ink present and then clean printer contacts. But I haven't figured out how to activate the load ink routine again. How do I get to the ink load position when the printer thinks the ink is full? Thank
