New Printer, Turned On, Forgot To Remove Tape

I just bought a new printer and I thought I removed all the tape but there was tape taping down the part where the ink cartridges go (that move across the rod) and I turned it on and it made a strange noise and got an error message. I turned it off and removed the tape and it seems to be printing ok but I am wondering if it would have done any damage to the printing quality at all or to the printer?

Lesson learned about reading the instructions that come with printer. AND to view entire printer before attempting to print.

If it is running fine then all should be OK.
