Hi,
Someone I'm helping out recently took over a POS and some thermal printers from a company that went bankrupt, the printers have parallel to ethernet adapters and were connected to the POS by a switch. The POS is obsolete and I can't really get any useful information out of it.
When I connect the printers to a switch or router with another pc connected they start printing out gibberish but there is no activity on the LAN ports. Do I have to do something with the DIP-switches or set up some virtual COM ports first?
I have no experience with this but I'm hoping someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
