We've got a couple of MFC-8710DW printers in the office. Under previous versions of OSX you could open up the printer programs and there would be a scanner button to open up the scanning dialog.
Recently I had to replace the had drive in a computer and so had to install t
He O/S from scratch. Now that button is no longer available.
I called Brother and they no longer officially support that , and are pushing people to their Brother Control Center. The driver package also installs the ICA driver so the printer can be used through Image Capture as well. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be good enough for one user.
Does anyone have a workaround to get that button back? I tried installing the older driver package. But, that didn't help.
