Hello everybody.
I bought this printer new in 2016. A few months ago it started printing a magenta pattern at the right edge of the paper. Recently, it stopped retracting the paper when attempting duplex printing.
I replaced the magenta cartrige, yet the pattern remained.
At the same time I noticed that the transport belt unit has a streak of magenta toner leading to a certain sensor that looks like a film. This sensor is dirty with magenta tonner. After cleaning it, duplex printing seems to work again, but not for long.
The printer displays the following error:
Error code : 371
Description : Check under belt
(The gray pencil markings are my own, to convince my scanner to scan the entire page)
Does any of this make sense?
Any idea what to do about it?
