OKI C332 PRINTER K Waste Container

Okay on another OKI C332 printer I have I get the message that the K waste container is full. Okay followed someone's instructions and drilled a hole in the container and emptied out quite a bit of toner. So I thought that would take care of that. IT DIDN'T!! These Oki's are stubborn beasts!!! Okay what causes this to happen? How is the signal given to the printer from the Black K toner cartridge & waste canister? In this case the problem does follow the cartridge canister because I installed a different K toner & waste canister and did not get the message. There is something not working in the canister even though I emptied it out.

I believe the message is set after a certain number of pages printed. I don't think there is an actual sensor. You need a new cartridge or chip.
