OKI C9655 - Excess Toner on Prints

When I print, there is excess toner smudging much of the sheet. It improves a little after printing a number of sheets, but leaves prints with a mix of yellow and blue smears.
I use compatible toner (bottles) to fill existing cartridges, which is not ideal. But purchasing toner cartridges is very expensive as I am heavy user.
What is the problem, and how do I rectify it?
How do I get printer to produce a Report that might answer the above?

how many times have you refilled the cartridges you have now? Also Have you altered the fuser temp at all?

I have the same problem, and I dont use refilled cartridges.
First I tought the problem occured because the cartridges were almost empty (as in the manual), but I 've put in 4 new original cartridges, and when I print 250gr it gives a slightly stained background, with in some places an unstained spot. (When printing 80gr it does not happen, so I guess it has to do with the temperature of processing.
