I recently installed new cartridges (all 5) I got a message PrintHead Failure Please reinstall.
I did move it out cleaned it with a tissue paper and a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
After reinstalling I could not print in black ink from Word. It did print from Palm Desktop. I could print in any other color indicating a problem with the large Black Ink cartridge.
Running the clean head and printing the test page, it printed fine except for the large Black checkered box on the top.
A call to Canon suggested the replacement of the printhead at $42 dollars plus shipping etc. Giving the cost of new printer, it is hardly justified.
Is there a way to troubleshoot or fix that PGBK cartridge.
