Printer that can print only with black ink

Last year I bought a new Epson printer. I soon realised that it does not work if any of the colors are empty and like many other printers the cost for the color inks are the same as buying a new printer.
Is there any printer that can work with only the black ink??
Is the only solution a laser printer?

The Epson 15000 is the worse design print i have used. Epson had the Artisan 1430 all black, working well, but this next gen is two steps backward.
The paper feed is at the wrong angel and having to use a film card stock guide is a terrible idea. Why does a work horse printer need a scanner, copier?

Wouldn't want the next model. That's my opinion.
