Printing on 300gsm card

Hi

I'm looking for a printer that can print on 300gsm and 250gsm hammered card.

I'm currently looking at the Canon PIXMA iP4950 Inkjet Photo Printer as it says it can print on 300gsm but i've had the HP Photosmart 5510 that says it prints onto 300gsm and it printed most of the page but smudged the last side of the print.

Thanks for any advice on the best printer.

Hello CW HALL. I just wanted to know if you had had any luck finding a printer that prints on 300gsm cardstock? Was the Canon Pixma any good?

I have used 240gsm glossy card... not hammered though on a ip4950 with no problem. I do have other issues with the ip4950 I posted in the Canon section so will not repeat here.

The 240gsm plain glossy paper went through easily.
