prints black boxes in my color pictures

hello,have ricoh 7200 graphic edition fiery command workstation 7 ,and have constant issue with pictures ,in dark areas the image is a little black boxes .On the original computer monitor the image is fine ,but when its sent over to fiery command workstation it has issues with black boxes in pictures,example ,someone with dark hair ,boxes show up in their hair .How do i correct this issue

We had the same problem with a similar printer. In the Fiery job properties, Color, turn off "Print RGB gray using black only" and do the same to CMYK. Also if you have a setting for "Rich Black On" try that too. I don't have that printer anymore, so the setting might be named different. What is happening is the Fiery sees that some of the black in the dark areas matchs the formula for a perfect gray and decides it would better to print pure black instead of a process black (CYMK).
