Problems with printing 6 x4" photos on MG5650

Has anyone else had problems with printing 6 x 4" on the MG5650. It is a new printer, and it is continually saying that there is no paper in the tray, I have tried putting one sheet in at a time, then 20 sheets, It just does not recognise the paper is there. If I try printing the same photo on A4 it works perfectly. I have read all of the relevant chapters of the manual, and am still not able to sort the problem. - Any help would be appreciated!
