Quicken check printing

We have a HP Photosmart model B209a and HP support website states, "This model is no longer supported." It is printing reports and documents fine, but I cannot get it to print Quicken checks correctly. We are ready to buy a new printer. We had an Epson before we got this HP from a relative, and the Epson did fine printing checks. So now, what is the best (reasonable cost) printer for check printing? Any help out there will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Mac
