Rear cassette problem XP960

So usually in the printing menu you would choose the rear cassette, then you follow the printer instructions, eg put the paper inside in cassette and then press the button so this is where the problem appears - the button never appears regardless of whatever I do with the printer - it only shows the menu before you usually put the paper inside eg cancel/view instructions. I want to know whether its a technical problem or I could resolve this by some drivers or whatever. Thank you
