Remove the MFC-9840CDW hard drive?

I bought a new Brother all-in one printer/copy/scanner/fax machine and I'm giving away my old Brother MFC-9840CDW. I think I've determined that my old MFC-9840CDW has a hard drive and I want to take it out of the machine before I give it away. The documentation that came with the machine dosen't show me where the hard drive is or does it tell me how to take the hard drive out! Where is the hard drive and how do I remove it?

I wrote to Brother Tech support and they answered that this model didn’t have a hard drive. However they also said that I could erase any memory by resetting it to a “Factory Reset” condition and told me how to do it. So I did that and now all is well!
