Replacement colour printer.

I currently have a Canon Pixma iP6000D and it’s a heap of rubbish so I need a replacement but that may be because I have used it so infrequently.
I only occasionally print documents with colour content and I rarely print photographs but I need the facility to do so. The printer market is overflowing with machines that have good reviews so I’m looking for a way to simplify the selection process.
Is anyone aware of any organisation that produces a matrix of colour printing machines covering the sort of data one needs to view?

Personally from working tech support on printers i'd have to say, if you want color go with the HP Color Laserjet Pro 300
