Reset waste ink absorber on canon ip6220d

I have cleaned the Waste Ink Absorber pads in my Canon ip6220d printer. I now need to reset the printer to stop the notices of near full.

The suggestions about the resetting talks about a RESUME/CANCEL button My IP6220D does not have such a button.
