Scan process on an Epson 4750 printer

Being the proud owner of an Epsom 4750 printer I am trying to get it to scan from my laptop. The laptop is finding the printer alright, but it is not allowing a scan procedure.

Please link or attach instructions on how to used Epson 4750 printer to scan.

Is it in the manual.

Also, can i scan to a pdf to the thumb drive?

Any help appreciated.
