Selphy CP510 and Lion

I have a Canon printer that I'd like to use with my new Mac mini running lion. It does not have an optical drive and downloading earlier Mac OS X versions isn't working for me. Any idea how I can still use the Selphy for anything but a paper weight? Thanks!!!

Canon are being obtuse about the Selphy drivers. It seems they are no longer producing drivers for Apple 64 bit operating systems. I suspect because they want to force users to new printer models not that they would admit that. Apparently the solution is to install an android OS on the Mac so you can run via that. The Selphy does print from iPhone and Androids using Mopria. So not a brick yet. Also read about new Canon printers that do not work with Apple such as the Canon PIXMA TS9550 which only supports older OS versions up to 10.13
