Hi everyone
Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong category. I've been trying for hours to get my Dell 1110 Laser printer to become my network printer, somehow I can't figure it out.
It's connected via USB to my desktop computer. The desktop is then connected via ethernet to a wireless router. The challenge is to allow my two laptops (one a pc, the other a mac), to "see" the Dell 1110 whenever they are on the wifi at home, and to be able to print from it.
I tried to setup a windows 7 "homegroup" on the desktop, only to find out that my mac won't be able to connect to it. I do not believe my Dell 1110 can connect to the router - I only see a usb port at the back.
Is there anyway to get my laptops to access this printer over the wifi without buying a wireless printer server or something? Thanks for all the help/suggestions!!
