Hi there,
Am a mature student in the UK, and am looking for a multifunction printer at home to work with my Mac. I've found a few printers that have all of the functions that I'm looking for, but I'm wondering if there's anything a bit smaller that is similar. Perhaps the best choice for me at present is the Brother DCP-9045cdn, as it has the following features:
1. Colour laser printer, which is reasonably fast
2. Seemingly reasonable running costs
3. Automatic duplexing
4. Network ready (wifi would be even better, but ethernet networking is a must)
5. Automatic document feeder and flatbed scanner + copier function
6. Around £500
But the problem is that this thing is 38kg and huge! Am wondering if there's an alternative that does all of the above, but is smaller, as I live in a small flat and may have to carry it between places from time to time.
Any ideas??
My other thought is to get a separate scanner and printer, but if you do that, is there a way to connect them up as a photocopier without using your computer?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks a lot,
Sean.
