Vertical Bars streaking down scanned photos

Hi,

Using a Brother HL-L2380DW and recently keep getting vertical ghosting bars down the left side of my photos. See image. This happens on other photos too and even after I reinstall the Brother app (iPrint&Scan). The printing on the machine works fine.

Looks like the community is stymied, as well.
