WF 3720 Scan issue

I just purchased this all in one printer.It prints fine but can get the scanner to work.I downloaded the event manager also the firmware update,from the screen on printer I get the following install event manager and but cant get it to scan.On the microsoft scan app it scans but wont print it out.I get the following Problem scanning Something went wrong Try again.I am using an asus laptop with Win 10x64 bit
Any help appreciated
