WF-7720 Printer ejecting page when runs out of ink and changing cartridge?

When im printing a large page, sometimes it will get halfway through and it will say ink is out and needs to be replaced. When i replace the cartridge, instead of finishing the job, it ejects the paper and you have to put in another page and it "finishes" the undone part on a 2nd page. That doesnt help when ur printing an image or something. So is there anyway around this? Why does it do this instead of just finishing where it is on the current print after i replace the cartridge?

This is something I too have noticed on my WF-7720. It's particularly annoying when what I'm printing is a large 13x19 poster on nice paper - if i don't catch it in time, I end up destroying a second piece of expensive media. As for why, I can think of no reason. Personally i think it's a bug in the firmware.
