What are the real costs of printing full colour A4 prints on a newer type printer

Hi , This is my first post , great forum , very informative.....

I am finally upgrading my printer , but my needs are mostly for printing photos.

4 inch by 6 inch and A4 size photos.

But my big concern is how much is the real cost of printing:-

1) 4 inch by 6 inch
2) A4 size around 20 cm by 30

A price based on official cartridges will be fine and i can assume it will be cheaper for 3rd party cartridges.

I am thinking of buying the IP7250 when it is released later next week in the U.K .

But a average cost price of a newer style Canon printer would be great , as i am concerned the print costs are going to be a bit Over the top !

Is Canon the best choice for price and quality when it comes to ink jet full colour photo printer.
