What printer can handle thick media, often "shimmer" or metallic-y?

Hi! I'm looking to buy a printer (probably wide format) which can handle thick media... I print lots of thick envelopes with liners - some are made with rigid card stock. I also need a printer which can print in "shimmer" or shiny card stock. Someone recommended an Epson Artisan 1430, but upon looking at their specs, they didn't provide the info I needed. Anyone out there use a printer like that?
