I am looking at investing in a printer for us to print up to A3 posters for our retail showroom. We have erred towards Laser but Inkjet may also be an option. We want to be able to print on heavy card, like 22gsm or above, as well as transparent acetate.
We have a laser machine so we can cut shapes out on this once printed on A4 or A3.We do not need high volumes per minute but we do want one which has different toners for colour and high volume cartridges so that you don't run out of one colour half way through a print run.
If we can have a printer which is the same cost as a mono printer we can sell our HP Mono as well as our A3 and A4 Pixma Canon printers to go towards the cost of the new printer. We are willing to spend up to £1,000.00 but obviously if we can spend less and get what we need then this would be good.
Some prints will have photographs on and others will be posters where we need good quality so that it all looks professionaly printed and not done on a home printer. Quality is very important.
