Wifi username special characters

Hi !

New brother's printers work with a Wi-Fi Enterprise Level Authentication, right !
but we need to know if the printer will work when the username has special characters for authentication
like the '\' symbol, username: ’Nu\Ger45’
HP printers take this like the 'Domain \ User' info

Can you confirm this?
