Win11 doesn't like my Epson L385 but Win10 does???

Hi, My older Acer laptop works fine with my Epson printer using USB cable. However, my new ASUS Vivobook does not. When I attempt to use printer with new laptop I get the BSOD error with "System Service Exception wdf01000.sys" If I unplug the USB cable from ASUS the system boots up normally. I downloaded ForTect software and ran it but still problem persists. Can anyone help? As I said, my Epson Ecotank L385 works well with my Acer laptop but since I will be retiring the Acer after all files have been saved to external SSD I really do need my new system to work with printer. WiFi pairing also not working with new laptop.
Is this just a win11 thing as win10 works fine with printer?
