We have 2 - V 280 press running with the ex 280 Fiery's.
It would seem that the only color profile that can handle gradients and transparencies is the "Silk Coated 148" profile. If I use any other color profile I get a lot of steps in the gradients. The machines are 10 bit color depth, but using any other color profile other than Silk the machines print more like they are 2 bit color depth.
My suspicion is that its not the Xerox press, but the way that the fiery is ripping the file.
Does anyone have any experience like this? Any solutions?
