So the company i work for was having a problem with Printer ZT420 constantly biting the label about 1/8 of a 6 inch label while in peel off mode. I being part of the IT Dept. was in charge of making sure this printer were constantly running smooth but for the life of me i couldn’t get this issue fixed. I tried just about everything manual calibration and firmware upgrades. After me and my boss both gave up on trying to fix this issue. We decided to contact Zebra. Originally we purchased this printer at ZT420/203dpi print head and later purchased a 300dpi print head to replace the 203dpi print head but when doing this Zebra mentioned that we needed to purchase a 203 dpi to 300dpi print head converter kit. This converter kit comes with 300dpi print head which wasn’t needed. A smaller belt that wraps around a gear that is smaller than the 300dpi gear. This gear holds on to the bar with 2 screws that feed 1 label at a time.
