Brother "No Toner" error message

Hello All,

I have a Brother HL-L3270CDW Color Laser printer. It has worked fine since I got it and then all of a sudden one day it displays an error message telling me there are no toners installed and to open the cover and install toners. The ones in the machine were working fine, but I have since installed 2 sets of toners and I am still getting the same message. I was hoping someone might have an idea on how to fix this or bypass the issue. I did firmware update, replaced the toners, factory reset the printer and nothing seems to work. I was hoping there might be a way to bypass the issue. I am using after market toners which have worked fine. I called Brother Support and they were helpful but did not solve the problem. All they said was to buy Brother toners but could not guarantee that would work, plus they want $292 for a set and I only paid $299 for the printer. Any help your be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hii Martnus!

This problem in your Brother printer is likely to appear if the toner is not installed properly or the device is not recognizing the new toners. So, make sure to install it properly and use the genuine ink toner. Also, here is the process to override the toner you can use and see if it works.
  • Make sure your printer is On.
  • Then open the toner cover, and then press the Clear/Back for Reset Menu
  • After that, choose Reset, choose toner, and press "Okay."
  • Now, press 1 to start reset.

If this work not work then it would recommend you to connect with someone experienced to resolve the issue.
