Hi there,
I have a Brother printer - HLL2350DW.
When I turn the printer on I get the message "replace drum", and it won't go away.
I have looked online and it seems that the printer automatically says I have to replace the drum after a certain number of pages have been printed.
I have looked at the drum and it is fine I have cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and a soft tissue, and it's fine. This is clearly just a scam by Brother to make us buy new parts which are not necessary.
Apparently this problem can be fixed by resetting the drum counter. But none of the instructions I have found online work. People talk about closing (or opening) the front cover, then pressing the OK and + buttons together (or the GO button for 4 seconds) and the message DRUM should appear, together with the option to reset the drum counter. But none of the instructions work. I am left with this stupid "change drum" message no matter what.
Does anyone know a foolproof way to reset the drum counter on this machine?
Thank you!
