What common chemicals can be used for nozzle/head cleaning now that Windex with ammonia unavailable?

Okay, I used a mixture of polyethlyene glycol, alcohol and distilled water. I injected it into the ink points and inserted a paper towel saturated with it under the head.

That formula really took out a huge amount of dried ink on the jammed ink points. Within a few seconds, the formula went right through the ink points, with almost no pressure exerted. A lot of ink came off via the paper towel under the head too.

However, I'm still getting next to zero black and very little yellow output. What's the best thing to do? Note that this is basically the same as what I was getting before I cleaned everything.

I don't want to run another nozzle clean in the driver if possible, as it seems to use almost 1/4 tank to do it. And I'm already down to half a tank of black and yellow (again).

Suggestions?

After flushing, we've sometimes had to run the head cleaning operation up to 6x on certain printers before the printer is primed again.

I ended up doing just that. I have only had time to run one test page, but so far, it looks really good. I'll wait for a prospective buyer before printing another test page. This printer uses a lot of ink for even a simple page.

Thanks so much for your help, everyone. I'm very happy to have this printer (I think) working again.
